Hi! I’m Ali!

I am excited and honoured you want to know a little bit more about me.

My guess is that you, just like me, have been challenged by your accountability, motivation and body image to keep up with your self-care.
Luckily, my challenges led me to find some great support for myself, which helped me overcome my challenges. Even better, I was able to change my life from living and surviving to thriving!

I hope my experience gives you some inspiration and energy to make changes to your life to become responsible for your wellness journey.

Want to know more about me?

My childhood in a small town in Slovakia, Eastern Europe revolved around hunting and gathering wholesome foods. We grew and farmed from spring to autumn and celebrated by enjoying the food throughout the wintertime. Holistic and mindful living was a norm in my family – although we didn’t necessarily think of it that way. We just followed our traditions and rituals that looked after our health: wild berry picking, herb harvesting, mushroom picking (my favourite, even now!), pickling, fermenting, sitting around fire, story telling about our ancestors, going for walks and so on.

Age 18, I moved to Perth, Western Australia – and never left. Its incredible beaches, sunny year-round weather, buzzing culture, and amazing food and wine had my heart.

The last two decades passed in a blur, as I threw myself into my career and worked with individuals, groups and in the corporate world to address physical and mindset performance, injuries, mental disorders, eating disorders, self-perception and body image issues, and just about any chronic illnesses you can think of.

So... I’m obviously perfect, right?

If you ask my clients, I am healthy, fit, active, neat and super organised. I’m bursting with energy and confidence, I’m independent and strong, and I always have all the answers. I’m a disciplined business owner, partner and friend and a supermum to my two little boys.

Oh, and apparently I don’t drink or eat naughty foods, I exercise every day and basically have got my shit sorted in my life.

NOT!

Let me tell you a bit about the real me.

I swear. I love wine. I don’t exercise every day. Keep reading, it’s going to get better!

I cry. I get frustrated. I feel guilt. I get overwhelmed. I blame myself. I feel shame. I feel weak. I lose motivation. I am a sucker for doughnuts (especially those Italian ones...) I am very upfront. I talk and talk and talk. I have suffered LOTS of injuries in the past decade (unplanned but often self-inflicted). My English grammar sucks. I love cold pizza (especially the next day).
... and the list goes on!

Despite my flaws, I’m at a place where I feel complete and content just the way I am and wherever I am.

Do you want to feel the same? Read on.

I’ve come to realise I don’t need the sun to shine every day. I don’t need my life to be in perfect order, praise from people around me, a flawless Instagram feed, or my child to be on their best behaviour at all times.

What I want and need is:

Quality time with ME

A daily connection with my values and purpose

– Mindful daily actions that remind me who I am and who I strive to be

– Moments of presence, self-understanding and understanding of others

– Acceptance of whatever is happening around me without controlling it

I believe cultivating joy and health is a lifelong process unique to each woman – and I can’t wait to help you discover what does it for you!
